According to the department's findings from last year's
labor force survey, the percentage of Jordanians with a
secondary education or
higher has risen to 42.4 percent, Amman Net reported.
Decline of fertility rates
The department further explained that the increased interest
and participation of females in education,
seeking higher qualifications, have
played a crucial role in the decline of fertility rates.
Moreover, they emphasized the influence of economic factors,
particularly the rise in the female labor force participation rate, which
reached 13.9 percent in 2022. The growing desire of women to enter the
job market has contributed to this shift in societal dynamics.
