Amman – Saleh Al-Khawaldeh – A celebration was held on Wednesday evening to announce the inauguration of the Jordanian-Azerbaijani Cultural Friendship Association, attended by several political, economic, diplomatic, and media figures.اضافة اعلان

The honorary president of the association, former Prime Minister Dr. Awn Al-Khasawneh, emphasized during the event—held at the residence of the association's vice president, Dr. Mustafa Yaghi—the importance of fostering and strengthening relations between the two countries in various economic, social, cultural, and political fields.

He highlighted the strong ties of friendship and fraternity that both nations are committed to enhancing.

Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Amman, Eldar Salimov, noted that the establishment and inauguration of the association is a significant initiative that will act as a strong driver for strengthening relations and expanding cooperation.

He reaffirmed the embassy's readiness to collaborate with the association in ways that benefit both nations and their peoples.

The association's president, Amer Abu Obeid, stated that they have numerous programs, ideas, and proposals that will be implemented through the association to serve the interests of both countries and build bridges of cooperation and goodwill.

He added that it is a duty for every Jordanian to represent Jordan in the best way possible, ensuring that their programs are purposeful and regularly monitored.

Abu Obeid further emphasized that under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan is renowned at both the Asian and global levels for its cultural, political, and other activities, while Azerbaijan is known for its rapid economic growth.

This association aims to be a bridge of friendship and affection between the two peoples, including plans for cultural programs in Amman and Baku, as well as efforts to enhance tourism activities.

Dr. Yaghi highlighted the association's aspirations to strengthen cooperation between the two nations and peoples, noting the many shared values and commonalities.

He pointed out that the recent visit of Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein to Azerbaijan reinforces these connections and serves the interests of both countries and peoples.
