AMMAN — The public held more than JD 12.223 billion
in loans at the end of 2021, according to a report carried by Hala News.

In its report, the Association of Banks in Jordan said that
the value of loans held by men at the end of 2021 was JD9.953 billion, or 81.4
percent of total loans. Women had JD2.27 billion in bank loans; 18.4 percent of
the total.
There were 760,280 male borrowers and 202,008 female
borrowers, according to the report. As a result, on average, a man would have
had lent JD13,000 and a woman JD11,200.
