Amman- The general index of industrial producers' prices dropped by 0.54% during the first 11 months of 2024, registering 107.2 points compared to 107.79 points in the same period of 2023, according to the Department of Statistics’ monthly report issued Tuesday.

This decline was driven by a 0.66% decrease in manufacturing industries prices and a 2.47% drop in extractive industries prices, despite a 3.13% rise in electricity prices.
In November alone, the index decreased by 1.12%, reaching 106.56 points compared to 107.77 points for the same month in 2023. The drop was attributed to a 1.23% decline in manufacturing prices and a 1.28% decrease in extractive industries prices, while electricity prices rose by 0.72%.
On a monthly basis, November 2024 witnessed a 0.41% increase in industrial producers’ prices, reaching 106.56 points compared to 106.12 points in October 2024. This rise resulted from a 0.16% uptick in manufacturing industries prices, a 1.15% increase in extractive industries prices, and a notable 3.63% surge in electricity prices.
