Amman - The industrial production index saw a slight increase of 0.59% during the first ten months of this year, reaching 87.62 points compared to 87.11 points in the same period in 2023, according to the Department of Statistics' monthly report.

The cumulative data for the period up to October showed a mixed performance across sectors. While the production quantities in the manufacturing sector declined by 0.15%, the extractive industries sector experienced a significant increase of 8.57%, and electricity production rose by 5.15%.
Focusing on October alone, the index showed an annual increase of 1.20%, climbing to 87.17 points from 86.14 points in October 2023.
The monthly increase was due to a 0.56% increase in manufacturing production, a robust 10.57% rise in extractive industries production, and a 2.63% growth in electricity production.
