AMMAN — The
General Industrial Production Quantities index in the first quarter of 2022
increased by 5.41 percent, to 90.80 points, against 86.14 in the same period of
2021, reported the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

According to the
Department of Statistics (DoS) monthly report, the index went up by 4.80 percent in April 2022, reaching
92.43 points compared to 88.20 in April 2021.
On a monthly level, the index decreased by
4.23 percent in April 2022 to 92.43 points against 96.50 in March of the same
year.
Meanwhile, the Industrial Producers’ Price
Index inched up in the first quarter of 2022 by 15.07 percent, to 136.75
points, against 118.84 in the same period of 2021, according to the latest
figures.
The DoS report indicated that the index
amounted to 145.80 points in April 2022, against 121.81 points in April 2021,
signaling an increase of 19.69 percent.
The index, according to the figures, went up
by 6.10 percent in April 2022, hitting 145.80 points against 137.43 points
registered in March of the same year.
