AMMAN — The board of directors of the Agricultural Credit
Institution have approved interest-free loans to
cattle breeders whose farms
have been affected by the
foot-and-mouth disease this year.

The loans, which have a maximum limit of JD40,000 will
enable farmers to rehabilitate their farms by purchasing the necessary
production supplies and
contributing to the cost of importing cattle from approved,
the Jordan News Agency, Hala reported.
This decision comes as a continuation of measures taken by
the
Ministry of Agriculture since the outbreak of the disease, and in line with
the Agricultural Institution’s role in supporting the sector by providing
necessary liquidity to farmers.
