Iran to establish large military base near Jordanian-Syrian borders

AMMAN— Iran intends to replace the small checkpoints with a large military base on the Jordanian-Syrian borders, Al-Qabas newspaper reported, according to Khaberni News.اضافة اعلان

Sources from Iran indicated that Military reinforcements from the Quds Force militia moved to the Syrian-Jordanian border.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards sent three new units of the Afghan "Fatimiyoun" Brigade from Iran to Daraa recently, to stabilize and spread on the Syrian side of the border, under the supervision of Iranian experts, following military exercises that the members of these groups underwent southeast of Tehran, which included training on the use of short-range missiles and drones.

The new military base was named “Malik al-Ashtar” after receiving a new military command affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, commanding operations in the region.
