Irbid – The Irbid Chamber of Industry reported a significant growth in the value of certificates of origin for September, reaching $106.7 million, a 22% increase compared to $87.4 million in the same month last year.

The chamber issued 1,389 certificates of origin in September, up from 1,075 in the previous year, reflecting the sustained growth in industrial exports.
Leading the export sectors was the knitwear and leather industry, which achieved $77.7 million in exports. Following this were the food and agricultural supply sector and the medical supply sector, with exports valued at $3.8 million and $2.4 million, respectively.
Other sectors contributing to the exports included chemical industries, engineering and electrical industries, plastic and rubber industries, and construction materials.
The majority of exports, more than 95%, came from Al-Hassan Industrial Estate, with Cyber City contributing 4%.
Hani Abu Hassan, President of the Chamber, attributed the overall growth to the expansion of seven industrial sectors, which account for approximately 98% of the governorate’s exports.
He highlighted that exports under the Arab agreement grew by 22%, reaching $8.6 million, compared to $6.9 million in the same period last year. Exports tied to trade agreements comprised 85.8% of total exports.
