Youth projectsThe students showcased their projects to the ambassador, one of which was awarded second place in the first Jordan Young Scientist Exhibition, which was held last year.

The project is based on the concept of recycling cigarette butts and involved a technique for turning cigarette butts into erasers through the use of chemicals and physical materials, in order to reduce the environmental impact of cigarette waste.

JoYS is based on a partnership model. In Jordan, it brings together the government, the Embassy of Ireland, the private sector, the Crown Prince Foundation, the Queen Rania Foundation, and multiple educational institutions that oversee the effective implementation of this important initiative, according to the statement.
“The role of community leaders in mentoring the local community, including supporting orphans and refugees, is a positive example of the genuine altruism of the Jordanian people”
