AMMAN — On Thursday, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration
(JFDA) director-general, Nizar Mahmoud Mhaidat, said that the project to
distribute iron supplements to schools would be held in coordination with the
Ministry of Education and a nutrition company, according to Al-Ghad news.

He added that iron, in addition to other
supplements, will
be given to students with a free meal.
Mhaidat also added that the plan to appoint a food
specialist and a pharmacist to monitor food and medicine would be implemented
so that a pharmacist would be present in the offices of the JFDA across the
Kingdom.
