MUNICH — On Sunday, the Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, stated that the Israeli occupation is the main reason
for what is happening in Palestine and in the
Gaza Strip, calling for an end to
the war crimes in Gaza, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

During a meeting within the
Munich Security Conference (MSC), he added, “If
we want peace, then the path to it is a two-state solution and the
establishment of a Palestinian state that exists besides Israel,” noting that
“it is not possible for Israel to guarantee its own security without
guaranteeing the security of the Palestinian people.”
“We must put matters into the correct context, and the Israeli political issue
is that Israel does not wish to rightfully recognize the existence of the
Palestinian people,” said the Deputy Prime Minister, who has confirmed that the
current Israeli government does not want a deal regarding its detainees, nor
does it wish to end the war.
Safadi also pointed out that “the Israeli government has dismissed all
plausible political solutions to the conflict in the Middle East and has
destroyed hospitals and other infrastructure in Gaza,” adding that “Gaza was
already a blockaded prison before
October 7.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs clarified that the forced migration of
Palestinians is “unacceptable, a violation of international law, and a war
crime.”
“We cannot enjoy peace until the
Palestinian people obtain their legitimate
rights to establish their own state, in addition to their freedom and dignity,”
stated Safadi.
