He noted on his official account on X,
formerly known as Twitter, "Our vision for the future of peace is a
two-state solution."
On Thursday, Safadi participated in the
ministerial meeting hosted by Egypt, attended by the Prime Minister of Qatar,
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia,
Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Foreign Minister of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry,
the Minister of State for International Cooperation in the UAE, Reem Al
Hashimy, and the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine
Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein Al-Sheikh, along with US Secretary of State
Antony Blinken.
The meeting discussed developments related to
the Palestinian issue and the crisis in Gaza, efforts to achieve a complete
ceasefire, increase humanitarian aid access throughout the strip, and implement
Security Council Resolution 2720.
The meeting affirmed rejection of any attempts
to liquidate the Palestinian issue or displace the Palestinian people from
their land, as well as any military operation in Rafah, stressing the
inevitability of implementing the two-state solution and establishing the
Palestinian state according to international references.
The participants warned of the dangerous and
increasing regional repercussions of expanding the conflict in the region,
threatening the stability and safety of the region and the world.
