AMMAN — Israeli authorities have announced that they will
release Jordanian MP Imad Al-Adwan soon, according to a report from Hebrew
Channel 14 on Saturday evening.

Pressure from JordanHebrew Channel 14 reported that Israel succumbed to pressure
from Jordan and decided to release the Jordanian MP soon and return him to
Jordan.
The exact date of his release has not been announced yet.
Adwan was arrested by Israeli authorities on April 23, while
crossing the King Hussein Bridge from Jordan to the occupied West Bank.
Israeli authorities said Adwan allegedly attempted to
smuggle weapons and gold across the bridge.
Information gathered from the footage indicates that Israeli
authorities seized around 270 weapons, including 167 glocks, and 100kg of gold.
Adwan was able to meet with his defense team for the first
time in prison on Thursday.
