AMMAN — The
Jordanian Artists Association (JAA) has affirmed that it will not issue permits for
concerts on
New Year's Day due to the prevailing conditions in Gaza and
throughout Palestine.

Yousef al Abadi, the head of JAA stated on Saturday that the decision to
prohibit concerts reflects the official stance of the Kingdom. He emphasized
that the association made the decision to refrain from organizing any artistic
events since the onset of the
conflict in Gaza, and this stance extends to New
Year's parties if the crisis persists, Khaberni reported.
