JAEC, Experia partner to boost radioactive isotope production

AMMAN — The Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Experia Healthcare System, aiming to leverage mutual expertise in both the public and private sectors. This collaboration is focused on enhancing cooperation in the production and marketing of medical and non-medical radioactive isotopes. These isotopes are produced in the Jordanian nuclear reactor, serving purposes in research, training, and development.اضافة اعلان

The agreement also outlines the establishment of an advanced center for isotope production. This center will facilitate the export of these products both regionally and internationally, positioning Jordan as a leading nation in the field of radioactive isotope production. The memorandum was formalized through the signatures of Dr. Khaled Toukan, Head of the Atomic Energy Commission, and Eng. Ahmed Al-Shamla, General Manager of Experia Healthcare System, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key figures, including Secretary-General of the Commission Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabbagh, Director of the Research Reactor Dr. Majd Al-Hawari, and members of the Board of Commissioners - Dr. Khalid Al-Khasawneh, Dr. Firas Afana, among others. Dr. Hazem Haboub, a founding partner in Experia, Dr. Alaa Khawaja, a consultant for isotope production projects, and Mustafa Ghannam, the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Experia, also participated.
