The drill is part of efforts of Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- the Arab Army to check on its units' preparedness and their capability to carry out the scheduled and potential duties, to align with developments related to modern military training, according to an Army statement.
The exercise aims to ensure commander-personnel capability to outline planning and military decision-making procedures, and implement defensive combat measures in all war-related phases, as required by the operational situation, the JAF said.
The drill also seeks to raise the level of training participants in the implementation of the various night-day mobilization operations, the statement noted.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major Gen. Yousef Huneiti, was briefed by JAF Assistant for Operations and Training, Brigadier Gen. Abdullah Shdeifat and EMR's Commander, Brigadier Gen. Hassan Annab, on the training stages carried out, in accordance with the JAF instructions.
Speaking to personnel participating in the exercise, which was attended by a number of senior JAF officers, Huneiti said the Army will continue to implement the King's directives aimed at providing "full" support to JAF's formations and units to remain on "high" preparedness and efficiency to meet operational requirements and counter any attempts intended to tamper with Jordan's security.
Huneiti also said JAF continues to use the latest military equipment and modern technology to "effectively" carry out its duties.
