He has called for the acceleration
of the digitization of more government services, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.
According to Rajbeh, Jordan is one
of the leading countries in the region in terms of using digital transformation
in a
variety of economic sectors, particularly in financial, agricultural,
industrial, and health services.
He believes that digital
transformation can help to reduce operational costs, simplify and
accelerate procedures for services provided to citizens, and provide high-quality services
with transparency, performance monitoring, and data security.
Sanad doubled government servicesRajbeh highlighted the role of the
Sanad application, which has helped to double the number of government services
provided during the recent period.
He noted that business owners and
investors tend to invest in countries with a ready and developed infrastructure
in
digital transformation and service automation.
He added that the
Economic Modernization Vision underscores the need to accelerate the pace of the government’s digital
transformation by establishing partnerships with the private sector.
The vision indicates that around
25,000
employees worked in the ICT sector in 2021, accounting for 1.6 percent
of total employment volume in the Kingdom. By 2033, the number of full-time
workers in the sector is projected to reach 101,000.
