Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) will hold a joint meeting on Monday to discuss
the ongoing truckers’ strike, which “may cause heavy losses” to the industrial
sector, according to Al-Mamlaka.

In a Sunday statement, the chamber declared
that the strike will negatively affect raw material imports and industrial
exports.
The statement argued that truckers have made
their point by stopping work for several days, but continuing to strike will
harm the Kingdom’s economic interests and citizens alike.
The chamber emphasized the importance of
dialogue, and called for the responsible authorities to draw up a roadmap for
developing the transport sector that helps reduce costs for workers, especially
fuel costs.
