AMMAN— The Jordanian Group for Development and Free Zones (JDZ) has allocated 1.7 million dinars for the purposes of the cable car project in the Ajloun development area, within the framework of the draft general budget law for next year, according to Al-Ghad News.

The cable car project in the Ajloun development area is the first project to be built there. It was declared a development area in 2009.
It is expected that the company will operate the cable car project in the near future, after the completion of the road works leading to it, reaching 2.55 km long, and its total cost is JD11 million.
The first station starts from the plot allocated to the company within the lands of the Ajloun development area, while the second station will be to exit near Ajloun Castle, as the project occupies about 40 vehicles and can be increased to 60 vehicles, and each vehicle has a capacity of 8 passengers.
According to the draft law, the company allocated JD3.7 million 2023 for the development of the free zones infrastructure in Zarqa, Muwaqqar, Karak and the airport, and JD1.9 million for the purposes of maintaining and developing the services of the free and development zones.
The 2023 budget bill shows an increase in the company's budget by 24 percent to reach JD25.2 million, compared to JD20.4 million compared to this year after re-evaluating the subject.
