AMMAN —
Jordan Electric Power Company (JEPCO)
reported a significant increase in its total revenue for 2023, reaching JD1.001
billion, up from JD985.4 million in 2022.

The company's revenue costs also saw a rise,
totaling JD838.3 million compared to JD798 million for the same period of
comparison. Despite the increased costs,
JEPCO recorded a total profit of
JD21.5 million, a slight improvement from the JD20.7 million reported in 2022,
Al-Ghad reported.
JEPCO's net profit after tax showed notable
growth, reaching approximately JD17 million in 2023 compared to JD15.6 million
in 2022. Moreover, the company paid JD5 million to the General Treasury during
2023, representing the seventh installment of the license fees granted to the
company. As of the end of 2023,
JEPCO's capital stood at JD91.7 million.
It's worth noting that these data are
preliminary and have not yet undergone external audit completion.
