AMMAN — The
Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) on Wednesday said 20 closures were issued since the beginning of Ramadan for critical violations against food facilities and 209 suspensions for moderate ones and 2,411 warnings issued, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

JFDA Director General Nizar Muhaidat, in a statement, said that such process was the result of 5340 inspection tours countrywide, as necessary measures were taken against the facilities based on the Food Control Law.
Muhaidat added that about 17.5 tons of spoiled food were destroyed, in addition to more than 11 thousand liters of liquid substances.
