AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) said that the prices of more than 1,000 medications were cut due to a depreciation in foreign currencies, local news outlets reported.اضافة اعلان

The JFDA said it also reduced the prices of about 600 medical products by varying amounts, up to 70 percent, from the beginning of this year to July 20.

Prices are reviewed periodically for all types of medicines, especially those most commonly used.

According to the JFDA, the lowering of the price of medicines is done in accordance with the principles and instructions applied by the agency, in order to mitigate the burden on the public, especially highly-priced items.
