AMMAN — Director-General of the
Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Al-Mhaidat inaugurated the activities of the GCC
Regulatory Affairs Pharma Summit for the foundations, legislation of
registration and circulation of cosmetics, medical supplies and devices in the
UAE, Al-Ghad News reported.

In his opening
speech at the summit in Dubai, Mhaidat highlighted the role of JFDA as a
reference body concerned with the safety and quality of medical supplies and
cosmetics, and its pioneering experience in the field.
The summit is
held with the participation of specialists from regulatory authorities, and
cosmetic manufacturers in the Middle East,
Through specialized
dialogue sessions, it addresses measures to enhance the safety of the products,
and the latest developments regarding the licensing, registration and
classification of cosmetics and medical devices.
