The
Jordan Food and Drug Administration’s (JFDA) monitoring and inspection
teams carried out 1,415 inspections in various areas across the Kingdom during
the first week of of Ramadan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In a statement on Tuesday, the General Director of the
JFDA Nizar Muhaidat said that the administration shut down eight alimentation
facilities, suspended 46, and gave a warning to 746 others for violating the
JFDA’s health requirements and standards. It also destroyed more than 10 tonnes
of sweets and 3,000 liters of liquids.
The JFDA called on citizens to contact them if they have any
observation, inquiry, or complaint via the toll-free complaints line 117114,
via e-mail at
[email protected], and through WhatsApp on the number 0795632000
available around the clock.
