JFDA Director-General Nizar Muhaidat said
the new e-services were introduced by the administration's Information
Technology Unit and the Directorate of Medical Devices and Supplies to provide
service-users with accurate and updated information about the prices and
availability of medical supplies.
Simplified search queriesCustomers are now able to search for
supplies, including cardiac stents and related accessories, syringes, and eye
drops, using the name of the item and the warehouse and/or manufacturing
company, which simplifies and speeds up the process of determining prices and
local market supply.
The new system, available on the
JFDA website, will allow patients to select appropriate items based on their health
conditions.
The administration is in the process of
automating its services within its electronic transformation plan, which is in
line with Royal directives to continuously improve the efficiency and quality
of government services.
