JFDA’s
Director-General Nizar Al-Mhedat said that the supervisory teams of the
Directorate of Medical Devices and Supplies have inspected more than 200
facilities to sell medical supplies and cosmetic materials since the beginning
of the year.
He said the
inspections included nearly 60 industrial establishments for the purposes of
examining their licenses, and the renewal of licenses and granting a
certificate of good manufacturing of medical devices and supplies.
Mhedat said the
administration monitors and tracks the chain of manufacture, import, export and
circulation of various medical devices, laboratory supplies and cosmetics
according to a quality control, awareness and regulatory methodology, including
periodic inspection of facilities, monitoring of irregularities and taking the
necessary measures.
