In a press statement on Thursday, the JFDA's Director General, Dr. Nizar Mhaidat, said the advice focused on requirements related to register, price and label medical supplies and equipment, according to the approved criteria in this regard.
Meanwhile, cosmetics-related consultations dealt with registration requirements and reliability of some GMP, ISO documents and cosmetic product labelling, according to Mhaidat.
With regard to the cosmetics imports, Mhaidat indicated that JFDA's consultations clarified requirements to import raw materials used in industry, trade and personal purposes and the amounts allowed.
The JFDA received advice and inquiry requests via all modern means and were processed according to "clear" criteria to ensure that medical supplies and cosmetics conform to the technical rules and approved standards, he pointed out.
