JFDA
Director-General Nizar Mhaidat said on Sunday that the visits included 87
inspection visits, and that 54 visits to evaluate food trading establishments
resulted in the closure of a number of sites.
The teams carried
out about 300 visits to food establishments and factories during the first quarter
of this year 2022, especially during the period before the holy month of
Ramadan.
Mhaidat stated that
the visits came as part of periodic monitoring efforts to ensure the safety and
security of food traded in the Jordanian market by tracking food during all
stages of its circulation.
The administration invites
citizens to communicate with it in the event of any observation, complaint, or
inquiry through the toll-free complaint line 117114, e-mail to
[email protected],
and WhatsApp on the number 0795632000.
