AMMAN – The Director-General of the
Jordan Food and DrugAdministration (
JFDA), Nizar Mahmoud Muhaidat, presented the institution's procedures
for drug registration, pricing, control, and inspection, as well as the
dispensing of controlled drugs and their preparations.

He said they were in the process of adopting a
drug tracking program to monitor and track the drug inventory from manufacturing to
distribution, according to Al-Mamlaka.
He mentioned that they have introduced
prescription drug blister packs with security features and implemented measures
to control counterfeit and smuggled drugs.
Muhaidat highlighted the importance of drug vigilance to
provide information about drug side effects and analysis. He also pointed out
the institution's role in offering free consultations, providing necessary
information, and focusing on prevention programs and training.
He emphasized their commitment to maintaining
high-quality standards and appropriate pricing while avoiding price disparities.
