AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has issued a warning to consumers against purchasing exposed dates that are susceptible to dust and insects, according to a local media outlet. A local media outlet reported that the JFDA emphasized the importance of being cautious when buying dates, ensuring that they have a confirmed statement card on their packaging, and verifying the card's validity before purchasing. In addition, the JFDA also stressed the significance of selecting dates that are free from any surface cuts and cavities, and ensuring that they are free of insects inside and between the grains, such as weevils or ants.
