AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and
the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) have signed a collaborative
agreement to distribute food coupons and meals to vulnerable families during
the holy month of Ramadan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The campaign aims to provide financial assistance to
low-income families, particularly during a period when expenses are doubled,
said JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Al-Shibli.
Vouchers for 400 familiesAccording to a JHCO statement, the campaign will provide
vouchers for 400 families that can be spent in the Military Consumer
Corporation's branches spread throughout the Kingdom.
Hot iftar meals to be distributedThe campaign also aims to distribute a total of 5,250 hot
iftar meals in coordination with JHCO's local charity partners to families in
their homes or the partners' headquarters.
This collaboration will help vulnerable families meet their
urgent basic needs, especially with the increasing population, said ANERA's
representative in Jordan, Carina Aoun.
Aoun added that ANERA has expanded its efforts to provide
hot meals and food vouchers to Palestinian and Syrian refugees, in addition to
Jordanian host communities.
