AMMAN — Temperatures will reach their peak on
Monday as the
heat wave continues to hang around Kingdom, the Jordan
Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Monday.

In its report, the JMD warned the public to avoid direct
exposure to the sun at noon, keep children out of closed vehicles, and drink
fluids frequently.
Beginning Tuesday, temperatures will gradually start
tapering off, however temperatures will remain higher than the seasonal average
by about 3 to 4°C,
the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
Wednesday will bring another slight drop in temperatures
in the highlands and plains, while relatively warm conditions will stick around
in the Badia region, the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the JMD added.
