JOHUD Concludes Sports Event Highlighting Gender-Based Violence Awareness
Amman – The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) has concluded a two-day sports event held under the "Global Coaches Project," as part of its participation in the global 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence.اضافة اعلان

The project, funded by the Dutch Embassy in Amman, featured participation from former players of the Dutch national football team, including Anouk Hoogendijk and Claudia van den Heiligenberg, alongside 20 football coaches from Jordan and 60 children representing various age groups.

According to a statement issued by JOHUD, the event's first day included experience-sharing sessions between participants from Jordan and the Netherlands, focusing on football techniques, achieving excellence in the sport, and enhancing the roles of players and referees. Additionally, lectures were delivered on JOHUD's initiatives to address gender-based violence.

The second day featured a football tournament, attended by Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands in Amman, Per De Vries. The ambassador engaged with participants, discussing the project's objectives and its impact on empowering Jordanian players and coaches by equipping them with essential football skills.

De Vries commended the collaboration between JOHUD, the Dutch Embassy, and the Royal Dutch Football Association in implementing the project. He highlighted its role in fostering young talent, enhancing sports education, and preparing skilled players and coaches.
