AMMAN — Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), Dr. Mohammad Thneibat, on Thursday inaugurated the 4th concentration line plant project at Indo-Jordanian Chemicals Company (IJCC), which is wholly owned by the
JPMC.

The project, with a cost of $2.3 million, aims to increase IJCC's production capacity by about 31,000 tonnes of phosphoric acid to reach 610,000 tonnes annually and expand production and export of this substance, according to a JPMC statement.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Thneibat stressed the project's importance, which comes within the framework of JPMC's keenness to develop operations and increase production capacity, as its current policy focuses on manufacturing industries and lowering production and mining costs.
JPMC aspires, within its future plans, to realize more achievements, in terms of production and export, in a way that enhances its position in the global phosphate market and contributes to supporting process of Jordan's economic development, he added.
Thneibat also expressed JPMC's pride in this "important" project for the IJCC, lauding the company's efforts.
On the other hand, Thneibat inaugurated the main weighbridge at Shidiya Phosphate Mine Project, which contributes to exporting about 25, 000 tonnes of phosphate ore per day through port city of Aqaba, which was connected electronically with Aqaba industrial phosphate terminal.
