AMMAN — Doctors of the Jordan Red Crescent Society gave an educational lecture on breast cancer and the importance of early
detection in increasing recovery, especially in the early stages of the disease,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The lecture, which was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Amman,
shared methods of early detection of the disease, the importance of periodic
examination, and reviewed the factors causing the disease.
Dr. Alaa Abu Salhia and Dr. Shatha Al-Bishtawi discussed
common rumors regarding breast cancer, shared ways to perform a self-exam to
detect any abnormalities, and covered how clinical examinations are conducted.
They also explained the disease in detail and discussed
specialized studies and research in this field.
The Jordanian Red Crescent Head of Communications and Public Relations Rania Abdaldaiem provided a briefing on the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its humanitarian role in
communities, and the part the Jordanian Red Crescent plays in providing aid and
assistance to the most vulnerable groups in the community.
