The agreement, which was signed by JRF's Director General Enaam Barrishi and FAO's Representative in Jordan, Eng. Nabil Assaf, describes collaboration in enhancing the capacities of 120 women in three governorates in Jordan: Balqa, Jerash, and Ajloun. Through the improvement of their technical and administrative know-how and capacities, it seeks to provide women with the skills necessary to increase their economic participation in the agricultural sector. As a result, they will be able to start agricultural initiatives, enhancing their standard of living and raising household earnings.

In order to better prepare the women for the workforce, cooperation activities will include a technical and vocational training program that will teach them project management and financial literacy in addition to technical skills relevant to the processing of carob, sumak, and honey.

JRF provides local communities and refugees with economic possibilities through its Community Empowerment Program, enabling them to better their own and their families' standard of living.
