AMMAN — The
Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) on Wednesday
organized a workshop for representatives of Jordanian tourism and travel
agencies with their Polish counterparts.

Holding of this workshop is part of a visit organized by the
JTB for a delegation of representatives of Polish tourism and travel agencies
to serve the Kingdom's tourism promotion plans in the Polish market. The visit
included an exploratory tour of agencies in the Kingdom, the JTB said Wednesday
in a statement.
JTB Managing Director Abdul Razzaq Arabiat said that Jordan
is key and major tourism destinations in the world, due to its diversity, which
is an element of attraction for Polish tourists, pointing out that 2019 was a
special year in terms of the number of Polish tourists who visited Jordan.
He added that Jordan has a real opportunity to attract
tourists from Poland during the current period through flights on low-cost
airlines, stressing that the JTB seeks to attract Polish tourists through
low-cost airlines, from which direct flights to the Kingdom are currently
launched.
Arabiat indicated that attracting Polish tourists came
within the JTB's plan for the current year, through which it opened up to new
markets, pointing out that the JTB will attempt to attract a number of Polish
media representatives next month to promote and market the Kingdom in their
country.
For their part, a number of representatives of Polish
tourism and travel agencies participating in the workshop indicated that Jordan
enjoys a calm and safe atmosphere, which enables it to increase the number of
tourists wishing to visit it.
