The JTB participated with an exhibition of
traditional Jordanian clothes, namely 12 pieces, representing 12 governorates,
projected on a screen.
JTB Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat stressed
the importance of Expo 2020 Dubai and of the JTB’s participation in the Travel
and Connectivity Week.
“Technologies in the pavilion were used to support
Jordan’s tourism,” he said, adding that the Jordanian pavilion also houses a
traditional food display and had the band of military retirees and Al Hussein
Musical Band play music.
Arabiyat also said that the JTB will organize a
contest for visitors; the winners win a free flight, overnight stay included,
to Jordan.
Arabiyat said part of the activities at the pavilion
will be a press conference, in the presence of
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Fayez, where tourism marketing, tourism national strategy,
and tourism identity will be presented.
