Arabiyat said that in November, “we have launched a
tourism marketing campaign in Europe, and during December another campaign will
be launched in Gulf countries, while currently during the World Cup, Jordanian
delegates are marketing Jordan on billboards and public transport.”
“Jordan needs to expand the base of marketing of
service-providers in both known and governorate areas,” he explained.
“The JTB is working on a plan for next year to
eliminate the seasonal tourism in Jordan, and rather activate tourism
throughout the year, using the diversity that this country has, which does not
exist anywhere else,” he added.
The number of tourists during the month of October
this year exceeded the number of tourists during the same period in 2019,
Arabiyat. He said that the number is a good indicator, which shows a
significant demand on tourism to Jordan, and that objective planning pays off.
Locally, he said that there is active traffic on all
tourist sites, specifically in the city of
Madaba, which is considered a
gateway for tourism to Jordan, because its proximity to Amman’s international
airport.
