AMMAN — The Jordan University of Science
and Technology (JUST) organized a Japanese cultural day event on Thursday,
aimed at familiarizing students with the distinctive and vibrant aspects of
Japanese culture, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In collaboration with the Japanese
Embassy in Amman and the JICA Alumni Association of Jordan, the event offered an
enlightening presentation on the history of Japanese culture, sports, and
traditions, along with a captivating display of traditional Japanese costumes.
The students were treated to a delightful
array of Japanese music performances, adding a melodious touch to the cultural
celebration.
Exchange and cooperationCommending the event, Japanese Ambassador
to Jordan Okuyama Jiro underscored the significance of cultural exchange in
fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between Jordan and Japan.
The ambassador expressed his appreciation
for the event and its role in strengthening the ties between the two nations.

expressed his delight at celebrating the Japanese cultural day, emphasizing the
university's commitment to fostering productive partnerships with the Japanese
embassy.
Salem highlighted the university's
dedication to acquainting students with various global civilizations,
underscoring the importance of a well-rounded education.
"JUST places a strong emphasis on
establishing international research collaborations and expanding its network of
overseas partners, particularly with Japanese institutions. This allows us to
leverage the best research techniques and generate high-caliber scientific
results," Salem said.
