AMMAN — Deputy prime minister and minister of foreign
affairs,
Ayman Safadi, announced on Sunday, September 3, the signing of
two agreements with Japan, under which Tokyo will provide Jordan with $100 million
in concessional development loans.

Additionally, an agreement was signed for $6 million that
will go towards supporting the water sector, Al-Mamlaka News reported.
On Sunday, the fourth round of the
Jordanian–Japanese Strategic Dialogue began, in which Safadi and Japanese minister of foreign
affairs, Yoshimasa Hayashi, discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the
two countries in various fields and coordinated positions on several regional
and international issues of mutual interest.
