Jerash Agriculture Director, Ola Al-Muhassaneh, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the directorate has a plan to improve the nurseries in the governorate, noting that the Jumla Nursery needs maintenance and rehabilitation to align with the region's specific needs.
She added that one million forestry seedlings will be planted in Faisal Nursery and in the Wadi Al-Sham area in the town of Saqb, Al-Mer’ad District, which was affected by fires. Additionally, an exhibition will be organized to display and sell agricultural rural products in cooperation with the relevant authorities within the governorate, aimed at enabling women, craftsmen, and producers to showcase and sell their products.
Al-Muhassaneh further explained that the directorate’s teams are intensifying market inspections to ensure the quality of plant and animal products offered in the commercial market.
It is worth noting that the nursery was established in 1953 on an area of 24 dunams.
