The Environment and Health Department of Jerash Greater Municipality has seized approximately 500 kilograms of meat and 4,000 liters of juice that violated public safety standards as part of its ongoing regulatory efforts in the markets.

In a press statement on Thursday, the municipality's head, Ahmad Al-Atoum, said that the municipality's teams conducted around 400 inspection visits to commercial establishments since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. These inspections included butcher shops and food stores to ensure compliance with health regulations.
He added that approximately 110 violations were issued for establishments failing to meet safety standards. He also mentioned that the municipality would re-inspect these establishments next week, and if they do not rectify their violations, further measures, including possible closures, would be taken.
