Amman - Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, concluded his solidarity visit to Gaza's Christian community on Monday, where he celebrated Christmas Mass amid the ongoing war.

During his visit, Cardinal Pizzaballa led Christmas services at the Holy Family Church, offering prayers and words of encouragement to the local faithful. The Cardinal emphasized themes of hope and resilience in his message to the congregation.
The Patriarch also met with Archbishop Alexios at the Greek Orthodox parish of St. Porphyriu, highlighting the unity between Christian communities in Gaza during these challenging times.
As part of his pastoral visit, Cardinal Pizzaballa conducted an assessment of ongoing humanitarian initiatives jointly organized by the Latin Patriarchate and the Order of Malta.
He reviewed the results of aid distribution efforts and evaluated urgent needs within the local community. Working with the Gaza parish, the Patriarch approved the next phases of the aid campaign and an initiative to reopen the local school.
In its official statement, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem expressed hope that this Christmas would bring renewed prospects for ending the ongoing tragedy in Gaza and the broader region, marking the beginning of a more peaceful future for all residents.
