AMMAN – Foreign trade data released by the Department of
Statistics on Saturday showed an increase in Jordan's exports of jewelry and
pharmaceutical preparations to the end of November 2023.

Jordan's exports of jewelry and pharmaceutical preparations
increased by 72.1 percent, 23.3 percent, and 11.3 percent, respectively, to the
end of November 2023, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The value of national exports of jewelry and pharmaceutical
preparations reached about JD754 million by the end of November 2023, compared
to JD438 million in the same period of 2022, while the value of exports of
pharmaceutical preparations reached about JD465 million, compared to JD377
million in the same period of 2022, and the value of other materials reached
JD3.058 billion, compared to JD2.747 billion in the same period of 2022.
In contrast, national export rates for clothes and
accessories fell by 12.6 percent to the end of November 2023, fertilizers by
12.3 percent, crude potash by 36.6 percent, and phosphate by 23.6 percent.
According to statistics, the Kingdom's apparel and accessory
exports will be worth approximately JD1.246 billion by the end of November
2023, up from JD1.426 billion in the same time in 2022. Fertilizer exports
totaled approximately JD911 million, compared to JD1.039 billion during the
same time in 2022.
The value of the Kingdom's crude potash exports reached
around JD616 million by the end of November 2023, compared to JD972 million in
the same period in 2022, and the value of phosphate exports reached about JD556
million, compared to JD728 million in the same period in 2022.
The official data showed a 1.6 percent decline in the
overall value of national exports till the end of November 2023, reaching
JD7.606 billion, compared to JD7.727 billion for the same period in 2022.
