AMMAN — The joint
Jordanian-Egyptian drill
“Aqaba 7” was launched in Egypt, continuing a series of joint military
exercises between the two countries, Khaberni reported.

The drill, which began on Saturday, aims to
strengthen the military cooperation between the two countries, exchange
expertise in the fields of planning, practical implementation, control and
follow-up, and develop the defense capabilities in traditional and
non-conventional warfare.
It helps raise the military’s combat capability and
readiness, and increases coordination among participating armed forces, to face
regional challenges.
The 12-day exercise, during which a number of events
and activities will be held, according to plans prepared in advance with the
brotherly
Egyptian armed forces, to meet the goals set by the leaderships of
the two countries.
Participants from
the
Jordan Armed Forces Arab Army arrived Friday in Egypt and were received upon arrival by the head of the
Egyptian Southern Military Region Training Division Brigadier Brig Gen Ibrahim
Abu Al-Naga and several Egyptian Armed Forces officers.
