On Monday, the “Jabal/6” joint tactical exercise officially kicked off, conducted by the 61st Rapid Intervention Rangers Battalion, part of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Rapid Intervention Brigade, with the participation of a team from the French Special Forces, and in the presence of the brigade commander.

The four-week exercise aims to train participants on joint coordination and immediate response to any emergency, enhancing their ability to handle various situations and challenges posed by the nature of the terrain. It ensures teams are capable of making fast and effective decisions.
The exercise includes activities such as combat in mountainous terrain, transporting equipment and ammunition via aerial cableways, rock-face rappelling, free climbing, ground medical evacuation in mountainous areas, logistical resupply, and the use of reconnaissance and sniper units in mountainous environments.
This exercise falls within the training programs carried out by the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, in cooperation with allied and friendly armies, with the goal of exchanging military expertise, enhancing readiness and combat efficiency, developing the skills of participants, and strengthening their ability to confront diverse challenges.
