Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 10.15 %

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,936 new COVID-19 cases and 38 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 11,917 and the total number of cases to 1,003,428.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,922 cases, while Zarqa recorded 430 cases. Irbid registered 987 cases, Balqa 331 cases, Karak recorded 90 cases, Jerash recorded 204 cases, and Tafileh recorded 47 cases. Madaba registered 180 cases, Aqaba 63, Ramtha 274, and Ajloun 184.

The ministry said in a statement that 186 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 203 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 66,809 according to the ministry. Out of 48,645 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday 10.15 percent of them came back positive.
