Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 5.98%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,393 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 11,197 and the total number of cases to 888,435.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,123 cases, while Zarqa recorded 185 cases. Irbid registered 514 cases, Balqa 121 cases, Karak recorded 42 cases, Jerash recorded 92 cases, and Tafileh recorded 27 cases. Madaba registered 62 cases, Aqaba 50, Ramtha 24 and Ajloun 85.

The ministry said in a statement that 105 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 118 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 28,639 according to the ministry. Out of 40,004 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 5.98 percent of them came back positive.
